I must have a quick post here just to refute the idiots who say our NHS would collapse if we had no immigrants.
Try going into ANY hospital & look at the patients, an increasingly large proportion are ethnic. I had the misfortune to be in a Reading Hospital a couple of years ago when an Indian chap was admitted, he spoke no English & had to have an interpreter supplied every time he was treated (god knows the cost). It turns out that this guy had had a stroke in India, his family there had contacted the family members here who advised them to put him on a plane to London where they would meet him & take him for treatment here!! (Free of course), he must have been a distant relative as they hardly ever came to see him, but poor old Britain just coughed up without a blink. In the USA unless he could pay or had the right medical insurance he would have been put straight back on the plane! A friends wife who worked as a receptionist for a surgery in High Wycombe told me of many Pakistanis there who kept coming back for repeat prescriptions for medecines, especially antibiotics long after they are better, apparently to send back to Pakistan! When she queried this with another worker she was told that the Pakistani doctors in the surgery were aware of it but did nothing! She did complain to the local health authority and was told to mind her own business by, you guessed it, another Pakistani! She has since left in disgust!
BNP must ensure that genuine visitors to our shores have relevant health insurance and are not allowed to sponge of what WE have paid for over the years!

These immigrants sure know how to play our system to their advantage, well it isn’t that hard is it? Unless your a white British second class citizen.

Vote the BNP and stop this total madness.

This is true “britishbred”, its going to be even easier with some of the new legislation suggested by the current shower to actively discriminate against the white Btiton!

So, what percentage of NHS staff are immigrants as opposed to the population?

Tell me exactly how you are sure the NHS would not collapse, quoting figures.

Who told you all about this Indian?

So you suggest immigrants pay taxes and national insurance to support services for whites, as well as health insurance so they can also access the services they are funding? That would imply that whites are better, as they would pay less for services than immigrants. Do you agree?

I doubt you’ll be able to reply with any facts…

In the USA, even the people who do have the right insurance get abandoned. A few weeks ago, a woman was hit by a car and went into a coma for two months- just over halfway through that, her insurance company dropped her for costing them too much. Unless you think this is a viable alternative for the British public, please don’t use the US system as an ideal.

  • when i worked for the royal mail twenty years ago.we reported to the n.h.s, the amount of prescription drugs being sent to the indian sub-continent;whitch at that time amounted to millions of pounds of taxpayers money.

I find that unbelievable quite frankly.

Drugs are so cheap to buy in India and more easily available to whomever wants to purchase them. Even if the prescriptions were free on the NHS.

I’m fairly certain that the cost of postage would be more than the cost of the drugs so whoever was posting them would be better to Western Union the money over. Royal Mail is not cheap..even 20 years ago.

Sarah, not just India, the sub continent includes Pakistan, Bangla desh & Sri Lanka! And I can assure you that my friends wife was not mistaken, the drugs were being sent in her case to Pakistan! She is also not a BNP supporter……yet, but since that incident she is becoming more aware of the problems caused by the immigration abuses and if there is a BNP candidate in her constituency, said she would consider voting for them as she says NO other party seems to be addressing the countries problems!

I feel i must comment on these issues raised. I in no way consider myself as a racist person, and i do work within the nhs. In the nhs we are aware of patients coming over from other countries having babies in british hospitals and flying back home again . all at the expense of the british tax payer. Also with prescriptions i have also been aware of patients stocking up on their medications before returning back to india. I am not sure that i agree with all the policies of the bnp but this does need addresssing. We would never get away with this in another country, it is abuse of the nhs.

Asylum Myth: Asylum seekers are draining NHS resources

Fact: Like other residents and visitors to the UK, asylum seekers are entitled to NHS services. But in no way do they drain resources to the detriment of UK citizens. In fact immigrants are the backbone of the NHS. According the Greater London Authority, 23% of doctors and 47% of nurses working within the NHS were born outside the UK.

Care to show reputable sources to prove British born doctors and nurses are unemployed in great numbers in Britain today?

Considering the money pumped into the NHS during the credit crunch I think you’ll find the opposite is true. when I was in hospital for a back operation Feb last year the nurses I spoke to said they had a shortage of nurses (couldn’t hire enough).

Really bugs me when commenter’s obviously make things up just to make a comment to support their party of choice!!!

ALSO MUST BE TRUE, IT’S ALL IN CAPITALS.

I equate posting all in capitals to having much lower than average intelligence, they can’t work out where the Caps Lock key is :-) It’s on the left of your keyboard M8, can you see it? No, your other left, doh!

ROFLOL, I might actually be on to something here. The posters previous comment (little higher up the page) was completely lowercase and this comment started lower case until he got to “B.N.P” after which everything stayed uppercase. Seriously Gerald it’s the key on the left of your keyboard labelled Caps Lock, push once for all capitals and again to turn it off.

A note regarding immigration and AIDS and its drain on the NHS.

All pregnant women who have blood tests are screened for HIV. The following are true figures which show the extent of the problem.

Amongst Black women of Afican origin 1 in 12 are HIV+, there isnt much variation amongst other groups the figures being in the order of 1 in 2000 to 1 in 3000 dependent on group.

What additional cost are then involved to the NHS? No need to say more.
