I’ve read that a significant number of NHS nurses and other NHS health workers were not born in the UK. I couldn’t find an accurate statistic, but I’m sure it’s a significant number based on various news articles and reports I’ve read (if I find the statistics I’ll update this post).
What happens if we halt immigration today as the BNP and UKIP pledge in their recent election manifestos, the BNP even go one step further and want to ‘persuade’ foreigners (through financial reward) to leave?
We get a shortage of trained nurses and other health professionals in NHS hospitals and we all suffer.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a poor situation successive governments have put the UK in with not providing enough training in many sectors of industry to meet today’s and future needs.
Whoever wins the next general election will inherit a relatively poorly trained British work force that even if the next government does everything it possibly can to train enough people for the future, we’ll still need highly trained foreign workers in the short term (short term being decades).
Any political party that pledges to halt immigration (BNP and UKIP) are committing economic suicide and reversing immigration (BNP) would be even worse for our economy and nations health!
We need serious controls on immigration, IMO current immigration policy is not strong enough, we should only allow workers to enter who benefit the UK. Why would we not want more highly trained workers like nurses, doctors, dentists etc.. entering the UK to boost our economy and with these examples our health?

education required to do the menial job (i.e. a catering assistant or a cleaner).

I agree with Richard the BNP meerkat. Recently, whilst in hospital for a heart condition, I needed a cannulae putting in my arm for a surgical procedure. An Asian Nurse who couldn’s speak English except for ” I is Qualified OK, don’t worry” kept missing the vein in my arm. On her 7th attempt as I was sceaming she said ” don’t worry, I is qualified”, before missing the vein completely and hitting the bone. At this point I told her to get out.
An hour later, an elderly white haired English Lady came in, said “roll your sleeve up” and within 10 seconds the cannulae was in and I was ready for surgery.
I asked her if the previous ‘nurse’ was a trainee? “No, she is your Ward Sister”, replied this white haired ANGEL. “They made me retire last month, I have come here from an agency”.
Make of this what you will, but it is the truth.

John this is typical of the “skilled” immigrants our corrupt lying leaders & their accolytes would have us believe we need!
If they had halted the immigration instead of COVERTLY encouraging it and put money & sense into our childrens education, instead of giving it away to Europe & the corrupt, overpopulated third world, our children could easily fill the so called skills gap!
I had a similar experience when I was in hospital a few years ago in Reading:- An African Staff Nurse was coming round with the drugs and tried to bully me into taking a load of drugs I knew I was not on, eventually with me continually ringing the bell, the sister appeared & initially tried to enforce her African Staff nurses wishes. I actually said I would resort to violence to defend myself if they persisted! This made the sister step back & actually look at my charts where the correct medication was prescribed! She then apologised & said that the staff nurse had misread my name & later said that it was just as well I was awake as the mixture of the drugs I was on plus the ones the staff nurse had tried to give would have had very serious side effects on my condition!!
So much for our enriched society!!

When I was in hospital for 6 days after my back operation earlier this year a white female nurse (English) couldn’t hit a vein to take blood. I was willing to take the pain until she got it right, but she gave up and left it to the next shift of nurses!
Another white English nurse told me when I was eating food lay flat on my back (couldn’t move because of pain) my body “would not be able to absorb the food if I ate lay down”! I thought she was joking at first, but she was deadly serious. I explained I’ve eaten lay down for the best part of 15 years and I haven’t died of malnutrition yet.
When I was 16 years old I worked as a civil engineers assistant working on a section of by-pass, a fresh out of University young man (white, not that it matters) couldn’t use the theodolite as quickly as I could despite being trained on it way longer than I had (took me a couple of days hands on training to learn and it wasn’t even my job).
Some people are poorly trained, any industry you go into you’ll find that is the case, it’s got little to do with where they come from or the colour of their skin.

Yes I agree there are idiots & layabouts of all races out there, But it is vital that those in the medical professions speak & read GOOD English!
If our education system had not been so politicised & dumbed down over the last few decades & more money put into it, rather than wasting it on the EU & third world! We would have had sufficient trained & educated, indigenous graduates in the system to cope with the demands of the workplace!

Assuming the first figure is accurate, the above stated “fact” is wrong.
60 minutes in an hour
24 hours in a day
365 days in a year
Total minutes in a year: 60×24x365 = 525,600 minutes
If we do get 237,000 new immigrants a year that’s one immigrant every 2.22 minutes (about 2 minutes 12 seconds).
Throws the entire article into doubt if the person who wrote it can’t even do basic maths.
I did a search for recent immigration figures, but the articles I found report various figures, where are the latest official government figures?

The latest scam of “nulabour” is the fake “student” ruse! In just 2 months over the summer over 20,000 Indians arrived on this scheme, god knows how many more of the other 170 odd countries turned up as well! The other main parties wont stand up & say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, that is why I go with BNP, who make it a keynote policy!
Our country does not have the unlimited space, infrastructure or cash to cope with these huge numbers, it is only a matter of time before the whole edifice crashes unless it is halted immediately & steps are taken to return those here illegally, who are criminals or who seek to destroy our culture & people!

1) David has admitted to being a labour supporter in several posts on this site, despite claiming to have an IQ of 149!
2) It has been PROVED labour has lied since it got into power about its immigration policies:- They have COVERTLY been encouraging them in to dilute the indiginous population and support labour by voting for them! The ons figures are totally out of date & took no account of illegals then as well!!
3) Labour are now so desperate to try & show they are doing something before the election they are trying to BRIBE immigrant criminals to go home!!

I vote Labour, though wouldn’t say I fully support the government, many things Labour have done and want to do I disagree with: the way they have dealt with (not dealt with) crime and justice leaves a lot to be desired for example.
That being said Ed is right about a person not having to be pro Labour to be against the BNP, at least 95% of the British electorate are anti-BNP and they vote for all the other parties including Labour, Conservatives, Lib Dems, UKIP, Greens…

I’m far from ashamed of voting Labour, quite proud of the fact I always vote and have the intelligence to see past simple arguments that parties with extreme views like the BNP put out to scare the electorate into voting for them.
When the BNP was created as a splinter group of the racist National Front their initial approach was black people are going to take over Britain, the argument was they breed like rabbits, damage our way of life and take the white mans jobs, send em back to Africa.

It’s called being realistic, I don’t agree with everything Labour have done in government just like I don’t disagree with everything Conservative governments did either.
Labour have messed up badly in some areas, (controlling crime for example) but others I’m very happy with (minimum wage for example).
I don’t get the all or nothing approach you seem to have to politics:
Labour/Conservatives/Lib Dems are ALL bad and the BNP are ALL good, there’s no in between for you!!!
There are good and bad people and policies in ALL serious political parties, there are a few things in the BNP policies I can relate to (political correctness has gone too far for example) and I’m sure there are some good people in the BNP, BUT overall I don’t agree with the majority of BNP policies (and yes I’ve looked at them all, have you?) and more importantly I don’t trust people like Nick Griffin who are behind the BNP.
The BNPs National Service policy: all 18+ year olds do military service or loose the right to vote is more than enough reason NOT to vote BNP.
BTW you can question my intelligence as much as you like, I’m very secure with my intelligence and I don’t like false modestly. I’ll NEVER make a protest vote because it’s a waste of my vote. I have considered voting for an alternative to Labour in the form of the Lib Dems, but where I live it would be a waste and hand victory to the Conservatives (they’ll almost certainly win here anyway unless many non Conservatives voted tactically).

I would have to agree with that statement, and say that it also applies to the majority of the BNP Supporters.
They don’t in my opinion seem to be able to do anything but 100% agree with everything the BNP says and 100% disagree with anything any other party says. There doesn’t seem to be any line where the average BNP supporter says they actually disagree with any BNP policy.
The vast majority of the voting public (me included) supports a particular party because they feel that party can offer them the majority of what they want, I don’t think any who is being 100% honest can say the party they support gives them everything they want.
I know I don’t agree totally with some of the Conservative Party policies (I think some are too weak) but I would have to say based on what I want to see happen in this country that I can relate to or accept more Conservative polices than any other party, although having said that their are some Labour Policies I like (Flexible New Deal) but I have to weigh that up against what I like, and this time around the Conservatives come out on top for me.
But I still don’t get the insistance from the BNP Supporters club that everything they have is perfect because put simply it isn’t.

I don’t vote for a Prime Minister, I vote for a party, and right now that party is Labour. We live in Britain not the USA where who is president matters quite a bit.
It makes no difference to me that Gordon Brown wasn’t Labour leader at the time of the last general election, just like it was a non issue when John Major was an unelected PM when the Tories was in power. They were both voted in by the electorate as MPs for their respective parties and those parties decide who leads them. Now if they brought in a leader that wasn’t elected at all by British voters (for example a peer) I’d have a problem.
If it was a choice between Nick Griffin and Gordon Brown as PM there’s no contest. Nick Griffin is an idiot, he has a low quality degree, his best paid job was teaching foreigners English, has been declared bankrupt, was convicted of holocaust denying (he’s a scum bag for that and for not apologising later), has published lots of racist literature, Hitler is his idol, fascist and Neo-Nazi ideology are his political roots, was in the National Front and believes almost every conspiracy theory ever conceived!

Have a look at the mail on sunday to see where the govt have been employing ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, 349 illegals have been discovered working for various public bodies in the last 4 years! This includes 3 in govt ministries, 34 in local authorities & 54 in nhs trusts, not counting Baroness scotlands maid! Apparently the home office were warned a couple of years ago about this but did not bother to tighten up security allowing this to continue! Probably all part of “nulabours” covert scheme to flood more in!!

Britain has in the past given shelter to genuine Asylum seekers, who came from Europe!The huguenots who came here after persecution in France.There were estimated to be about 30,000 to 40,000 who came in the 17th C, about 0.5% of the estimated population of Britain at that time! All PROTESTANTS, most with trade skills!
The other major immigration influx was the Jews in the late 19th C & early 20th C to 1945! Estimates of these numbers are up to 300,000 so about 0.75% of the British population in 1945! Many of these again had useful skills!
These numbers are minute in comparison with the millions who have flooded in over the last couple of decades & continue to flood in COVERTLY encouraged by the lying “nulabour” govt.
A half or possibly one percent can be absorbed with little trouble as with the Huguenots & Jews, but when numbers are approaching 10% & rising daily, especially when many are muslim who do not want to assimilate or integrate, but continually demand more & more concessions to their culture & religion and endevour to surpress ours, then it has to be stopped!!
