Political groups in the UK (through out Europe) are concerned at what they see as the spread of the Islam/Muslim faith, the so called Islamification of Britain/Europe/America et al. The concern is the Islam/Muslim faith will replace the current main faiths (Christian, Catholic etc…) and way of life and even laws in those countries.

I’m looking for some suggestions of options to add so we have a range of opinions. Something along the lines of:
Yes, we should remove ALL Muslims from Britain.
Yes, we should stop Muslim Immigration into Britain.
No, Islam is a Peaceful Religion and not a Threat.
No, Islam is a Peaceful Religion, but Islamic Extremists are a Threat.
Looking for suggestions and I’ll add those that cover a range of opinions, the above ones seem inadequate to cover the full range of opinion.

I never understand why people always take extremist views to heart.
The majority of any population will not hold these extreme views.
BUT If we’re treating the ‘Islamification’ of Britain as a real issue:
I don’t think we should Islamify Britain – my parents are black and they came to this country and fit in, and loved doing so. They respect the country as it is – if they didn’t like it, they would have left.
If any people are trying to impose Islamic regime then they can be considered but not agreed with just in the name of ‘equality and equal rights’ – they must integrate into the British way of life as they found it or move on.

well said Amanda, I am white British but does it matter? black british, white british we don’t want these Islamic extreemist in our country, they hate us but dont mind taking money from our wealfare system, how long would we last in their country spouting off? this country must be a laughing stock to the rest of the world thanks to Brown and his party.

I have just been reading the past comments on this subject and I can say that claims of Islam being compared to nazism is really ridiculous. Muslims don’t kill or don’t want to kill people of another faith or religion. Islam is in fact a peaceful religion and only come to britain so they could make a better life for themselves. It is rather selfish to think that Muslims come to only this country. Islma is a growin religion all around the world in many different countries.
BTW someone had said earlier that the Quran is false and denies that Jesus is the son of God. Well that is true, they do deny this, but muslims believe that God is not man, woman and has no form. Islam says that Jesus was in fact a prophet of God. However the bible was written by people, it has been changed over periods of time, and christians still believe in the word of men. However the Quran was sent down to earth and has not been changed once.

continueing from my comments earlier, I want to just add, How can a person think that all muslis are terrorists. I feel that just because of the war on iraq has influenced the minds of people this has lead them to believe that all muslims are terrorists and a threat to humanity.
As for bans on the nativity plays in schools, well thats just ridiculous, Islam does not prohibit anyone for acting in a play as Mary and joseph. In fact Islam only prohibits people acting as Jesus as he is one of the prophets and no one could ever replace them or even be like them.
As for places of worship the word is masjid not mosque.I feel that many christians get frustrated that there are many places of worship for Muslims, this is the governments fault, so if anyone is to blame its not the religion its the government.
well only ignorant people would say that Islam is all about curries and chillies, well it’s not. people of the indian and asian cultures eat curry and spices. Muslims are from all different cultural backgrounds, some were in fact christians and have converted their faith.
Islam is not trying to replace the different faiths of people. Yes they are more strict in rules and there are more restrictions but Islam is not trying to take over Britain.
In fact Islam has now become a burden for some muslim people because they are too busy trying fit in with the british way of life. Therefore muslim people are looked down upon.

Lets be right about this…God did’nt make man it was man who made God, look at your history, more people have been killed or gone insane through religious hysteria than any thing else, peacefull islamic people should be be left to worship if thats what they want, personally I have never read the Koran, but I would’nt think it says women should be completely covered, perhaps it’s the dominance of the male of that culture, it’s all a bit biblical.

time and tme again i have to say this IGNORANCE IS DUE TO THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE, PICK UP A BOOK AND EDUCATE YOUR MIND.
Look at it realistically come on there is NEVER going to be a “islamification” of britain the media and extremists parties such as the BNP do thier far share and brainwshing people of this country and it seems it is done very easily, especially when the issue concerns ISLAM. ISLAM IS A RELIGON OF PEACE unfortunately there are some people who claim they are muslims and then go around killing innocents in the sick acts of terrosim and then use religon t back up ther sick actions. The Qu’ran states that killing one human being is like killing the whole of humanity and saving one human bieng is like savng the whole of humanity. What islamophobes do these days is take verses out of the QU’ran and misnterpret them. YES I AM MUSLIM, YES I AM PROUD AND YES I AM AGAINST TERRORISM.

I totally agree with you Hajera. I feel that people do need to pick up a book and educate themselves. Some people think that it is us muslims that need to learn the british way of life, but really i believe that it is themselves need to reducate their minds.
Some people of this British society, such as BNP, believe that it is Islam that needs to be wiped out of this country but i feel that they are scared and are hiding their true feeling of fear that Britain will have more Islamic people than other religions and faith. They fail to realise that our religion is strong and can convert anyone into our faith. Islam is all about morals and people who believe that Islam is all about jihad and terrorism well they need to take a good look at their country and what they are doing to afghanistan and Iraq!!!!!
All I want to say to these people is wake up and quit contradicting urself and your faith!!!!

What you are giving over their is that Islam is on a mission to convert everyone to the religion. Now I personally take offense to that as I have said before I do not follow any religion and this is mainly due to two facts:
1. They are all pointless and really crap stories
2. People who follow religions heavily are always trying to ‘convert’ people.
We live in a world of personal choice not being dictated to, people want to make their own choices in this life and not be told which religion or path they should pick.
In my opinion religion of whatever denomination is the cause of most of the ills of the world which is being demonstrated by the BNP in British politics claiming that Islam is trying to take over the country and all you have actually managed to do as a muslim is enforce that line the BNP use by your comment.
Politics should in my opinion have no place for religion. Please be more thoughtful in the statements you make all you are doing is helping the BNP with your statement.

Although I agree with the rest of your comment generally, the above isn’t true, same as it’s not true Christians can convert anyone to Christianity. Both religions are strong, otherwise they wouldn’t have so many followers.
I’m an atheist, have no problem with anyone following a peaceful religion: Islam, like Christianity for the most part is peaceful, both (almost ALL) religions have their extremists, and I’m afraid you would never convert me to any religion.
Closest thing I have to faith, is faith in science, so you’d have to provide uncontroversial evidence not only a God exists, but your religion follows that God.
In my discussions with others who I’ve debated with regarding religion, the general theme is you have to have faith “we are not supposed to be able to prove there’s a God”.

you guys make me laugh, always on about how strong your Islamic relegion is, this is a Christian country, you came here and joined us we did.nt join you and another thing, we have civilised ourselves, as far has I know there have been no famous Islamic: painters, builders, poets,I could go on but I wont, most of us treat our women with respect, not as second class citizens who have to walk around covered up, because there husbands say so, if we are so bad..Go home! up the BNP!

Sorry max wilkinson, i disagree with you, Islam does believe in God and yes we do look upto him. But we do not not blame him for all the things that go wrong. We infact thank him for all he has done. It is not the fault of god that there are wrongs in the world it is actually the fault of people. We look upto god for guidence. Difficulties come our way because god inflicted them on us as he believes that this will make us stronger not weaker.

S B. there must have been people in Tsunami who prayed to God all the time..look what happened there, all them people drowned, if we all sat around praying, nothing would get done you must remember that religious texts such as the Koran, the Bible and hebrew parchments ect. were written by man as they saw things 200years ago, a world steeped in superstision, people controlled by the fear of the wrath of God, God, by the way that nobody has ever seen, everybody is entitled to there beliefs, me, I believe there are too many foriegners in my country with too much to say.

Well George2, I want to just say that after the Tsunami struck, the place where people drowned, actually many of the population there have stronger faith in God. I don’t want to disrespect anyone but Atheists believe that God does not exist so u cnt put the blame on God, so y dnt we put the blame on science and mankind.
All muslims believe that life is a test. Therefore the Tsunami was part of a test from God, to see whether people can still keep their faith in him. This test was to make people stronger in soul, spirit and faith.
And by the way the spelling is not “koran” its Quran.

Ok SB..I admit I was wrong:Qur’an not Koran, how about you? lets talk about how relgious Muslims are, they flew two planes into the world trade centre then there was the train bombing in madrid dont lets forget about all the children killed in that school in Russia after taking them hostage 1400 years of Islamic history riddled with death and terrorism from the days of Muhammad to Alzarqawi and I could go on.. maybe God or Allah as you guys call him was testing us.

I disagree with the fact people claiming all muslims are terrorists, how can we discriminate all muslims to be same? everyone is bought up in different cultures and understandings. Religion is taught differently to everyone, everyone has a different understanding. And yes there are those who are extreme and believe Islam has killing related to it. But have you thought the upbringing of these people, bad society, culture, the people they have been bought up with who havent really taught them the righteous way of Islam?
And some of the above comments which state the fact Islam is peaceful religion it really is. The things written in the Quaran once read are true and are happening and it has nothing to written in it about killings or such but to be an idol image of God.
These extremist who are killing are taught Islam the wrong way they have no sense of direction to what it is really about due to the influence.
Muslims should not be discriminated all as terrorists.

I am white british and christian. I do not believe that Muslims are a threat at all. The only threat is the extremists and as someone mentioned above every religion has it’s extremists so why is it just the islamic faith being singled out? Many people in this country are just ignorant and uneducated. I believe the treatment by some people towards Muslims and the fact people accuse every muslim of being a terrorist will only fuel the extremist views and give them reason to preach hatered. I am against the extremists but also against extremists in every religion.
