  • Whether your a believer of Islam or not, the fact remains that the Islamic culture has trampled over the history of this nation. But thats britains fault. This country was once a powerful nation for one so small. This was because it carried the gospel to the world. This is how God works. He takes something so small that the only way it can become so powerful is with Him. The moral decline of this country has been because of a move away from faith of God, and not only because of Islamification which has just added to the detriment of this country anyway. This is of no fault but Britains itself and are now suffering judgement. The longer absence of faith the decline of this countrys moral fabric will become worse. Islam is not at fault per sae. If you leave the door open the thief will come in.It is not the true faith of God and all will see this soon. Thats why they are here because God loves them too. He’s about to move for them too, and they will come. But it must get darker first.

  • There is no doubt in my mind that Islam poses a very real threat to England, our laws, customs and culture. One only needs to read the Koran and the Sunnah to understand the true aggressive and intolerant nature of Islam.

I think a bare minimum initial step to tackling the problem of Islam would be to immediately close down, and perhaps demolish, any mosque or Islamic ‘cultural centre’ found to be teaching so-called ‘radicalism’. This would at least send out the very clear message that Islamic aggression will not be tolerated.

  • Islamification is NOT an issue quite frankly. There are 2 million Islamic people in the U.K, and even if their birth rate is higher than ours, the country isn’t suddenly going to become an Islamic state anytime soon. It’s just people getting very scared about something that they percieve to be an actual problem due to gross exaggerations in the mass media, but ultimately, the Islamification of Britain is non-existent.

  • Religion is merely another way to divide us. The more secular and tolerant we become, the better. I don’t think Islamification is a problem, they are too small in numbers to pose a real threat, and most muslims living in Britain are happy to be part of British culture and have no desire to take over. My only concern is that IF something such as Islamification were to happen, would everyone who opposed its uprising be arrested for ‘hate crimes’? Islam are a particularly intolerant religion generally speaking. Political correctness must be abolished for true ethical equality to prevail first, and peoples’ opinions on religion and culture should not be silenced.

  • Religion is a belief based on one person view on the world we live in. what does it matter in what we believe, weather it be Islam, christian, Jewish, hindu or any other religion. There are 100′s of different forms or types of religous viewa & they are all different but the one thing they all have in common is the believe in one true being weather it be god or man. The Bible, the Qur’an & other such books tell stories of sacerfice in the face of intolerance they preach peace not war, we live in an intolerance world. Im not a regilous person but i dont condeam anyone else religous views.

  • Their is no possibility to change Britain from Christianity to Islam. They are so few in numbers and even with voting apathy that exists, there is still not enough for Islamic voters to take over the country. The media makes things bigger than they are.

As for Raymond’s respect of Religion. The human condition of Fight or Flight have people jumpy trying to decide what to do and who to in order that their way of life is un-coloured by cultural influence. The last thing people will do is embrace it with honour. The fact is that those Muslims who make the news in a bad way (we like bad news as it feeds our desire to know more about how to protect ourselves using the experiences of others) are taking over the pulpit on your behalf, whether you like it or not.

They are telling your story in their words. People are believing them because you stand up and say silly things like… you say it’s us, we don’t. (or there abouts)

The scary thing about islam for most people is that it crosses borders and is seen as more important than civil law. So a war in one country is a war against Islam. That’s a problem. Most people think in terms of your obligation to the country where you are born or are a citizen of. That is most people’s belief. Islam doesn’t see it that way and so the people in our midst are the people who are no longer our fellow Brits but the enemy. There is only one way to solve this. Speak for yourselves and don’t let the extreme elements of your religion (this goes for everyone) speak for all of you. Reassert yourselves as British… Muslims, but British with commitments to such ideology as the State we live in. Not the religion, the state that allows you to practice your religion. Otherwise I think there will be persecution and that won’t be good either.

For all of your information and to make clear my devils advocate position. I am a British Born Irish/Malaysian who is proud of my place and my right to be British and of our History. I am also proud of my father’s land… A Muslim country in Asia, democratic but so corrupt it’s unreal. I am not Muslim although I have a lot of family and friends who are. I am not a Christian although I am also born of a Catholic parent and raised as Catholic. I believe that religion seperates us and is it is the Human condition that in fact drives us to seek out differences in order to elevate ourselves above our fellow man. It’s bad for us. The morals are generally good but like everything, it should be taken in small doses. Please think about the comments you have all made and try not to resent each other your differences. We all want an end to the troubles and two million people marching on the streets against war tells us a lot about what we should never have done.

I have my fingers crossed for our countrymen, Muslim and Christian and everyone in between.

  • firstly i would like to point out that uk is a country which is about freedom and democracy , does the burka create a good example of this ?? secondly when in rome do as the romans ? they the muslims regardless of colour seem to want special treatment and rules one being sharia law , eh no this is a chrsitian country , i do however wonder to myself if we tried to build super churches in there countrys how long it would be before they were blown up ? why are the likes of hook and choudry aloud to openly peddle such filth against the west without being deported ? why if coudry studied law is he signing on the welfare system ?? why dont all the moderate muslims rather than moan about how everyone is against them get behind us and join the fight against radicalisation which is obviously bred in the mosques ? just a few questions to keep you going !

  • Our system of government is based on democracy, one of the founding concepts being freedom of speech, and tolerance, meaning we can be a part of any religion we choose. If that involves wearing a burkha, why not? I don’t really see how a burkha challenges democracy, which simply means ‘people power’ (demos, kratos) but what I do object to is Christians not being allowed to wear a crucifix to work. There should be one rule for all: equality. As for ‘super churches’, there are many Churches in Islamic countries, such as Lebanon and Israel, places which many Christians pilgramige to and have so far not been ‘blown up’. Furthermore, you say this is a Christian country. Firstly, Christianity preaches agapistic love – help everyone, tolerate everyone. Secondly, it’s completely irrelevant anyway since religion and politics are not actually allowed to mix.

    • Religion and Politics are allowed to mix, the Church of England is a State Religion. The Queen the figurehead, the Archbishop of Canturbury installed by Prime-Minister. As a result the Prime Minister can not openly be Catholic, and nor can the Queen marry a Catholic. However, the PM can be Muslim, and the Queen could marry a Muslim. Abolish that law, and you have more equality, except of course you’ll get a totally different reaction. The C of E was established as a method of control by the Government over it’s people. For example the Catholic Church claims to be Apostolic and History supports this (so is valid if you beleive Christ was who he said he was). The C of E is not, the C of E is controlled by government. The Archbishop is told what to say by government and has to led to him agreeing with abortion and euthanasia despite his followers probably not. The Government uses it’s state controlled religion to influence beleivers into agreeing with it’s policies. Please don’t fool yourselves into thinking Religion and Politics don’t always mix, they continually mix. More than we realise.

One of the things with a democracy is as you said, People Power. It becomes a contradiction in terms and conflict of interests if you then allow or tolerate certain things that could potentially threaten the “Power of the People”. Having studied Islam for many years, I can tell you that they do not beleive in Democracy, and they certainly do lot like Free Speech. Shariah Law (God’s Law) is all-powerful and will be introduced should they reach positions of Authority. This is absoloutely true, to ignore it is to do so out of plain Western, Uneducated, Ignorance.

In Muslims countries homosexuals are often executed or persecuted, Women treated disgracefully, and Children married off at ages we would consider pre-teen.

This is all in line with traditional Muslim values. Of course this doesn’t mean I am saying, all Muslims are bad, evil terrorists. No that would be foolish, most of them are very nice, friendly, kind, tolerant people. Unfortunately most of them in Britain that is as opposed to abroad. Nevertheless, I am not speaking of the PEOPLE I am speaking of the Theology and the values it holds and teaches. Many British Muslims don’t realise their religion teaches this, why? Because really, “moderate” Muslims are not real Muslims at all.

You often here people say “extremist, sexist, racist, Muslims aren’t proper Muslims, they are extremists”. On the contrary, they are proper Muslims, following the example of Mohammad and age old Traditions set forth in the Hadiths and Qu’ran. This means that many British Muslims live in Ignorance (perhaps unaware the punishment for leaving Islam in Shariah Law is ALWAYS death). If we tolerate too much of the Traditions of Islam, and hand over power to a group of people out of ignorance because they are “nice people” we would make a big mistake in that, we would be giving power to a group who could potentially replace it with their own values. Then it will be too late for us, too late for our Christian values, and far too late for the MODERATE Muslims.

Christianity teaches to tolerate, and that we should. However we should also be on our guard, Christianity teaches us to protect the Church and our Faith as well as each other. We must never allow something that could threaten our values and rights to have power. Islam should be tolerated in this country (if the people wish) but very strictly regulated. Veils should not be worn in public, and Muslim men prosecuted if they beat their wives, despite that it teaches so in the Qu’ran.

My wish is that do-gooders in Britain do their research on Islam before they feel they have the authority to talk about it. It is by it’s nature a terrible terrible set of values and teachings, followed by a blind and ignorant population, but nevertheless, they will follow it. If they don’t, because they are moderate or (fake) then they will be forced to follow it when we fail to protect ourself and everyone else.

Some say that not all Nazi soldiers were bad evil people, some were probably quite polite and friendly behind closed doors if you weren’t Jewish. Would you hand over equal power to that man though, knowing he was a Nazi soldier? Of course not, you would be much more careful.

      • I do know about Islam and it’s theology and teaching, although this only extends to what I have been taught in school and maybe this gives me a warped view? What you say about religion and politics mixing is true, I wasn’t saying they NEVER mix I was merely commenting that they are not SUPPOSSED to mix, as in you cannot pass a law simply because it is Christian.
I would not consider myself a ‘do-gooder’ but I have to stand by the fact that we must tolerate people: once this is prohibited then our democracy is under threat. Athens was the first democracy, and one of their basic concepts was eleutheria: freedom of speech. They constantly allowed people to attack their constitution because, in effect, that was what was so great about it – you CAN critise. This didn’t stop them becoming one of the greatest Empires of their time.
I am not saying that Islam is a perfect faith either. I would consider myself a Christian, but I would not say that I followed all the 10 commandments, all the time. Does that make me fake?
We have to protect ourselves, yes, and your argument is perfectly reasoned but most of the comments I have seen so far are simply scapegoating Muslims for our traffic problems or immigration problems. Is this not what happened to the Jews, being scapegoated?

    • Thanks for the post Jane. Trouble is there are too many liberal thinking people who think just like you do and this is why we are in such a mess today. Remember the terrorist who escaped under a Burka??? The Burker should go along with all of the stoneage Islam! Just driven through the Town Centre and yet again, a journey which should take 15 mins took me over 1 hour due to hundreds of cars parked on double yellow lines which block roads and cause accidents due to the Mosques. No parking tickets issued!!!!!! Ban Islam!!!!

  • I think every Nation has her culture and when you are in a Country, you should respect the culture of the people. Just as you could get a jail term for Kissing in Dubai, I also think that given the current security situation in the West, and the roles of some known groups, allowing wearing of Burka in Britain is no other thing than a Security Risk!

  • I don’t think it’s ‘liberal’ thinking people like me who have got the country into this ‘mess’. How many Muslims do you see binge drinking in nightclubs, throwing up on the streets and wasting the time and resources of both the Police and NHS? Also, the Islamic faith is hardly stoneage. It’s actually much more recent that Christianity and their advances in medicine a few hundred years ago helped to revolutionise modern medicine. On a sidenote, perhaps the traffic problem in your town centre is something you should take up with the local councillor, rather than scapegoating Muslims.
