A record £7,750 was raised at the British National Party’s latest road show event in Glasgow, enabling BNP Scotland to put up a full slate of seven candidates across the city.

“BNP Scotland will now be fielding 14 candidates across the country, giving voters in our target regions the chance to vote for a real alternative to the failed old political parties,” said a highly satisfied Gary Raikes, Scottish BNP leader.

“The evening started with a range of uplifting songs, followed by a stirring speech from native Glaswegian Jim Dowson,” Mr Raikes said.

“This was followed by a brilliant speech from party leader Nick Griffin MEP, who had the crowd on their feet and volunteering the wonderful donations which reached our campaign target.”

“The venue was decked out with flags, balloons and posters, while attendees were treated to a first class buffet. Thanks must go to Glasgow organiser Walter Hamilton for a truly top-notch event.

“BNP Scotland continues to grow and build on solid foundations for the Scottish elections next year,” Mr Raikes concluded.
