NEARLY one milion new Eastern European migrants could arrive in Britain due to a loophole in EU law.

 

Citizens of the former Soviet republic of Moldova have been granted rights to live and work here and in the EU by neighbours Romania.

“Any pretence that Britain can control its borders, or that immigration can be contained while we stay in the European Union is destroyed by this revelation.”

More than 120,000 already have Romanian passports and 800,000 are understood to have applied.
